Transforming Bihar’s Agriculture into Prosperity

Overview

Project Sampada is the flagship initiative of Jai Jawan Jai Kisan Agriculture Society (JJJKAS) — a three-year, phased program to promote agri-based entrepreneurship, food processing, and export development across Bihar.

The project envisions a network of agro-processing clusters in the BIADA industrial complexes of Bihar, starting from BIADA Bihta near Patna, where tomato-processing units will serve as the pilot model. Over time, the initiative will expand to include banana, mango, and other perishable produce — turning Bihar’s agricultural potential into high-value processed products for domestic and global markets.

To make Bihar a hub of processed agri-food exports by promoting cluster-based entrepreneurship, rural innovation, and sustainable value addition — guided by discipline, transparency, and community participation.

Cluster Development

Farmer and Entrepreneur Empowerment

Partnership with the Art of Living (AOL)

Under the guidance of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the Art of Living Foundation will motivate and inspire local communities to start agri-enterprises.
The AOL Projects Department (Bangalore Ashram) will support community mobilization, youth engagement, and training programs focused on self-reliance and rural prosperity.
This partnership combines spiritual empowerment with practical entrepreneurship — enabling sustainable change from within.

Export Facilitation

Pilot Phase: Tomato Processing at BIADA Bihta

Focus: Utilization of surplus tomatoes to produce puree, ketchup, and dehydrated tomato flakes.
Capacity: Approx. 400 kg raw tomatoes processed per day.
Objective: Reduce wastage, generate local employment, and demonstrate the model’s financial viability.
Future Integration: Add banana processing in the off-season — leveraging banana supply from Hajipur, where banana powder has strong export demand.

STEP Phase (September 2025 – April 2026)

This preparatory phase will:

Set up the first tomato processing cluster at BIADA Bihta.
Develop standard operating systems (SOPs) for procurement, processing, and marketing.
Finalize export tie-ups and CSR collaborations.
Recruit trained ex-servicemen and rural youth.
Prepare for large-scale rollout across Bihar from 2026 onwards.
