Welcome to AgriExportBihar.org — A JJJKAS Initiative to Boost Agricultural and Processed Food Exports from Bihar

Project Sampada is an initiative of the Jai Jawan Jai Kisan Agriculture Society (JJJKAS) to establish food processing clusters in BIADA industrial complexes across Bihar.

It aims to convert surplus agricultural produce—especially tomatoes and bananas—into high-value processed food products.

The project begins with a pilot cluster at BIADA Bihta near Patna, in collaboration with The Art of Living Foundation (AOL), founded by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, which will help motivate and inspire local communities toward entrepreneurship.

  • To reduce wastage of perishable crops like tomatoes and bananas.
  • To create rural employment through food processing clusters.
  • To train and motivate farmers and youth to become agri-entrepreneurs.
  • To promote exports of processed food products from Bihar.
  • To build a sustainable, self-reliant model combining discipline and entrepreneurship.

The Art of Living Foundation, under the guidance of Gurudev HH Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, will conduct motivation, training, and youth leadership programs.
Through its Youth Leadership Training Program (YLTP) and rural development initiatives, AOL will inspire individuals to start their own agri-enterprises and live with self-confidence and purpose.

JJJKAS will:

  • Manage the physical operations of tomato and banana processing clusters in BIADA complexes. </li
  • Handle procurement, production, quality control, and marketing.
  • Provide training and incubation support to entrepreneurs.
  • Coordinate with CSR partners, financial institutions (like SIDBI), and exporters.
  • Proximity to tomato-producing regions.
  • Proximity to the Bihta Dry Port.
  • Easy access to transport and logistics.
  • Availability of skilled workforce and supportive infrastructure.
  • Potential to become a demonstration model for other districts.
  • Tomato puree, ketchup, and dehydrated tomato flakes.
    Later, it will expand to:
  • Banana powder, chips, and processed pulp (during tomato off-season).
Other products like mango pulp and pickles may also be added.

Participation is open to:

  • Farmers and rural youth interested in agri-business.
  • Ex-servicemen seeking stable, meaningful livelihoods.
  • Self-help groups (SHGs) and women entrepreneurs.
  • CSR partners and food industry investors.

Farmers will benefit through:

  • Assured procurement of their produce at fair prices.
  • Reduced wastage and higher income stability.
  • Access to training and processing facilities.
  • Direct participation in value addition and marketing.
  • CSR contributions from corporates and foundations.
  • Institutional loans and grants (e.g., from SIDBI or RKVY).
  • Revenue generated from processed product sales.
  • Partnerships with exporters and agri-business organizations.
  • The STEP Phase (Sept 2025 – Apr 2026) is the initial implementation period.
    During this phase:
  • The first processing unit at BIADA Bihta will be established.
  • Systems for procurement, production, and export will be standardized.
  • Core staff and partners will be onboarded.
This phase will serve as a proof of concept for future expansion.
  • Each cluster will provide direct employment to about 50–60 workers.
  • Indirect employment will arise through farming, packaging, logistics, and marketing.
  • Women and youth will receive priority in training and recruitment.
